Heating and cooling a home uses a lot of energy. In fact, on some extremely hot or cold days, demand can spike so much that getting power to everyone who needs it can become inefficient and expensive — leading to overall higher energy prices.
As a member of the SmartFlex Rewards Program, you’ll help us keep energy cleaner and more affordable for everyone by shifting some of your energy use out of the hours when it’s most in demand. By coordinating your energy use with thousands of others’ right when it counts, we can protect California's energy grid while keeping you comfortable.

Automatically effortless. On event days, we’ll only nudge your thermostat slightly to reduce your energy use during peak hours.
Focused on your comfort. To keep you comfy, we’ll cool your home before the peak hours. And you'll always receive advance notice.

When and how do I receive my rewards?
You’ll receive your welcome reward, a $20 Virtual Prepaid Mastercard®, within two weeks of receiving your welcome email. You’ll also be automatically entered in monthly sweepstakes for prizes up to $500.
